This month of November we will be celebrating Thanksgiving! Around Thanksgiving time, people start to reflect on the things that they are thankful for. Every blessing comes from God! We have endless things to be thankful for and we should be thankful every day of the year, not just on Thanksgiving! As we have said there are endless reasons for us to be thankful but today we are going to focus on the greatest blessing there is! Today we are going to celebrate the perfect blessing of salvation in Jesus! If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then praise the Lord for you have received the greatest blessing!
All those who believe in Jesus receive eternal life in Him and eternal forgiveness in Him! If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then praise God for you have been eternally redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus! We are all sinners, (Romans 3:23) our sin separates us from God and our sin leads to death. (Isaiah 59:2, Romans 6:23) It is God alone who we sin against and yet it is God who has blessed us with His free gift of salvation in Jesus! We do not deserve forgiveness for our sins, in fact because of our sins we deserve death and punishment, but God, who is rich in mercy, has blessed us with our salvation in Jesus! God drew us in and He opened our eyes to the truth about our sinful nature and our sinful ways so that we can understand that we are in fact sinners. God taught us about our need for our Savior Jesus to save us and God shared the gospel of Jesus with us! God blessed us with our faith in Jesus to believe in Jesus and to accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior and receive eternal life and eternal forgiveness in Him! It is not because of who we are and it is not because of anything that we have done that we have been saved but it is by the grace of God that we are saved! God has blessed us with His free gift of salvation for our souls in Jesus and it is God who blessed us with our faith in Jesus to believe in Him and accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior to receive eternal life in Him! As Ephesians 2:8-9 says “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. (NIV) Praise God for His perfect love and His perfect grace! God called us out of the darkness and into His Son, Jesus, who loves us and gave Himself for us to eternally redeem us from all sin and death! God has blessed us perfectly with everything that we need and everything that we do not deserve in our Savior Jesus! We have not a thing to fear! Fear has to do with punishment and, in Jesus, we have been eternally forgiven for all of our past, present and future sins in Him! Sin is no longer our master because Jesus conquered sin and death for us and we are no longer under the law but instead we are under God’s perfect grace! (Romans 6:14) Jesus paid the full price for us and we have now been eternally redeemed by the precious blood of our Savior Jesus who loves us and gave Himself for us! In Jesus we have died to sin and death and we are now alive to God in Jesus! (Romans 6:11) Jesus lives in our inner beings as our personal Lord and Savior! It is no longer we who live but it is Jesus who lives in us and He is our life! (Galatians 2:20, Colossians 3:4)
As children of God, who believe in Jesus, who are guaranteed a perfectly blessed future in our Savior Jesus! God works all things out for the good of His children! (Romans 8:28) God is in control of all things and His will is always done! God always knows exactly what you need in each moment of your life and He will always bless you with exactly what you need in each moment according to His perfect will! Even in times of struggle we can rest assured knowing that God blesses us with struggles to teach us, to strengthen us and to shape us even further into the children of God that He has created us to be in Him! Struggles can seem hard while we are experiencing them, but we always come through those struggles better prepared for the blessed eternal life to which we have been called in our Savior Jesus! Our struggles are perfect blessings from God lovingly designed, specifically for us, to shape us even further into the children of God that God has created us to be in Him! God blesses us with struggles in our lives to discipline us as His precious, dearly loved children because, in Jesus and through faith in Him, that is who we are! It is God who works in us to do His will and live a life that glorifies God! (Philippians 2:13) We truly do have everything that we need to live a life that glorifies God in our Savior Jesus! (Ephesians 1:3) This is not our home! We are looking forward to an eternal future in Heaven with our Savior Jesus who loves us and gave Himself for us! We have not a thing to fear for we are weak but our God is strong and He lives within us! Praise God for the endless perfect blessing of salvation in Jesus!
If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior then know that God has brought you here for a reason and He is working in your heart and in your life at this very moment! God knows every single bit of you better than you know yourself, for God created you! God created your inmost being! There is not a thing that you can conceal from God and there is no where that you can go to escape Him! God wants you to come to Him just as you are in this very moment and He has lovingly drawn you here to share His truth and His love with you! God loves you perfectly as you are, no matter what your past or present may look like! Titus 2:11 says “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. (NIV) God offers salvation to all people and not a single one of us are without excuse! We cannot save ourselves and we are all imperfect sinners. God is blessing you with His truth and He is sharing the gospel of Jesus with you, so do not turn away! It is God alone who we sin against and yet is is God who has blessed us with His free gift of salvation in Jesus! Salvation for our souls is only found in Jesus, there is no other way! It is God who draws us near and it is God who shares the gospel of salvation in Jesus with us! God has drawn you near and He is sharing the gospel of salvation in Jesus with you! As we read in 2 Corinthians 6:2, “For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. (NIV) Today is the day and now is the time to accept God’s free gift of salvation in Jesus!
Not a single one of us is perfect and we all sin. (Romans 3:23) Our sin separates us from God and our sin leads to death. (Isaiah 59:2, Romans 6:23) It is God alone who we sin against and yet it is God who has blessed us with His free gift of salvation for our souls in His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, who loves us and gave Himself for us to reconcile us to God by the shredding of His blood for us! Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins, He was buried and then He rose to life again and all who believe in Jesus receive eternal life in Him! (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, John 3:16) Salvation for our souls is only found in Jesus! (Acts 4:12) Salvation in Jesus is a free gift from God and we must receive this free gift from God by faith! (Romans 3:25) When we come to understand and admit that we are sinners and if we believe in our hearts that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins and that He rose to life again, then we can invite Jesus into our hearts and our lives as our personal Lord and Savior and receive eternal life in Jesus! Romans 10:9 says that “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (NIV) If you have come to understand and admit that you are a sinner and if you believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sins and that He rose to life again, then you can invite Jesus into your heart and your life as your personal Lord and Savior and receive eternal life in Jesus. You can pray a prayer like this:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I know that I am a sinner and that I need Jesus to save me. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save me from my sins and that He rose to life again. God I am sorry for my sin. I invite Jesus into my heart and my life as my personal Lord and Savior. I commit my life to you.
In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
If you have prayed a prayer like this and accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then you have received eternal life and eternal forgiveness in Jesus who loves you and gave Himself for you! You have been eternally forgiven for all of your past, present and future sins in your Savior Jesus! It is no longer you who lives but it is Jesus who lives in you and He is your life! (Galatians 2:20, Colossians 3:4) You have died to sin and death in Jesus and now you are alive to God in Jesus! (Romans 6:11) Sin is no longer your master (Romans 6:14) because Jesus conquered sin and death for you and He has set you free from all sin and death for all of eternity! Jesus paid the full price for you and now it is done, it is finished! You have been reconciled to God by the precious blood of Jesus who loves you and gave Himself for you to eternally redeem you from all sin and death! You have received the greatest blessing and the greatest gift, the free gift of salvation in Jesus, which God has blessed you with in His perfect grace! Praise God for salvation in our Savior Jesus!
