This month of December our Scripture Writing/Reading Plan is all about celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and accepting God’s free gift of salvation in Jesus! Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas. (Luke 2:11) We are all imperfect sinners (Romans 3:23) and it is God who we sin against. God loves us and He sent His one and only Son Jesus into this world to die on the cross to save us from our sins. (John 3:16) Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins, He was buried and then He rose to life again (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) and all who believe in Jesus and accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior receive eternal forgiveness and eternal life in Jesus! (John 3:16) Salvation for our souls is only found in Jesus! (Acts 4:12) Salvation in Jesus is a free
gift from God and we must receive this free gift from God by faith. (Romans 3:25) On Christmas we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who loves us and gave Himself for us to reconcile us to God by the shedding of His precious blood for us! Salvation in Jesus is the greatest gift there is and we must accept God’s free gift of salvation in Jesus by faith! If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then in Jesus, you have been eternally set free from all sin and death, you have crossed over from death to life, and you are a new creation in Jesus! In Jesus, through faith in Him, you have received eternal life in Jesus and you have become a child of God! (John 1:12) It is no longer you who lives but it is Jesus who lives in you, in your inner being, and Jesus is your life! (Galatians 2:20, Colossians 3:4) You now have peace with God because you have been reconciled to God by the blood of Jesus Christ who loves you and gave Himself for you! (Romans 5:1-2) If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then do not delay! Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior today to receive eternal life in Jesus! Enjoy spending time in God’s Word learning all about Christmas, the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and how to receive the greatest gift, salvation in Jesus!
