Peace With Others

This month we are learning about true eternal peace! The only way that we can receive true eternal peace is to accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior! Jesus is our peace! (Ephesians 2:14) Peace is not a superficial feeling that we have nor is it something that we can just decide we have for ourselves. We are all imperfect people and we all sin. (Romans 3:23) It is God alone who we sin against and yet God has blessed us with His free gift of salvation in His Son, Jesus, who loves us and gave Himself for us! Our sin separates us from God and our sin leads to death. (Isaiah 59:2, Romans 6:23) Because our sin separates us from God our sin also prevents us from having peace with God. Our sin prevents our peace. John 3:16 tells us “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (NIV) Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins, He was buried and then He rose to life again and all who believe in Him receive eternal life in Him and eternal forgiveness for all of their past, present and future sins. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) Salvation for our souls is only found in Jesus. (Acts 4:12) Salvation in Jesus is a free gift from God and we must receive this free gift from God by faith. (Romans 3:25) When we come to understand and admit that we are in fact sinners and if we sincerely believe in our hearts that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins and that He rose to life again, then we can invite Jesus into our hearts and our lives as our personal Lord and Savior and receive eternal life in Him. Romans 10:9 tells us that “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (NIV) If you have come to understand and admit that you are a sinner and if you believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sins and that He rose to life again, then you can invite Jesus into your heart and your life as your personal Lord and Savior and receive eternal life and eternal forgiveness in Him. You can pray a prayer like this:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I know that I am a sinner and that I need Jesus to save me. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save me from my sins and that He rose to life again. God I am sorry for my sin. I invite Jesus into my heart and my life as my personal Lord and Savior. I commit my life to you.

In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

If you prayed a prayer like this and sincerely accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then you have received eternal life in Jesus and all of your past, present and future sins have been eternally forgiven in Him! Romans 8:1 tells us that “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. (NIV) In your Savior Jesus, you have been eternally forgiven for each and every one of your past, present and future sins and therefore you have received peace with God through Jesus! Sin is no longer your master for you have been blessed with God’s perfect grace in your Savior Jesus who paid the full price for you redeeming you from all sin and death! (Romans 6:14) Jesus now lives in your inner being, as your personal Lord and Savior, and it is no longer you who lives but it is Jesus who lives in you and He is your life! (Galatians 2:20, Colossians 3:4) You have been eternally redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus who loves you and gave Himself for you eternally reconciling you to God! You are no longer separated from God because of your sins, for in Jesus all of your sins have been eternally forgiven, and Jesus has reconciled you to God! Jesus paid the full price for you and it is done, it is finished! Romans 5:1-2 tells us “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. (NIV) Not a single one of us deserves God’s grace, in fact because of our sins we deserve death and punishment, but praise be to God that He opened our eyes to the truth about our sinful nature and our sinful ways! God opened our eyes to understand that we are in fact sinners and then He taught us about our need for our Savior Jesus! God blessed us with faith in Jesus to believe in Him and accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior! God revealed the truth about our sinful nature, our need for Jesus and God blessed us with our faith to believe in Jesus! God called us out of darkness and He appointed us to eternal life in our Savior Jesus who loves us and gave Himself for us blessing us with true eternal peace in Him! God has blessed us with salvation in Jesus not because of anything we have done but because of His own perfect grace and love for us! We have truly been blessed with everything we need and everything we do not deserve in our Savior Jesus! Praise be to God for blessing us with our eternal salvation in our Savior Jesus!

In Jesus and through belief in Him we receive true eternal peace, peace with God! As children of God who believe in Jesus, Jesus is our peace and He lives in our inner being as our personal Lord and Savior! Remember, we do not deserve salvation in Jesus, rather we deserve punishment and death because of our sins, but God in His perfect grace has blessed us with salvation in Jesus who loves us and gave Himself for us! Let us therefore see other people as we should! No one is perfect and we all sin, we all need Jesus! Let us be faithful in walking humbly with our God who has called us to eternal life in Jesus, even though we do not deserve it, and let us have compassion and understanding for all people who are sinners just like us! If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then Jesus now lives in your inner being, as your personal Lord and Savior, so rejoice in the Lord and remember to live as someone who has been appointed to eternal life in Jesus! We must see all people as we should, through the eyes of a child of God because, in Jesus, that is exactly who we are! Jesus is the light of life, (John 1:4) and He lives in us! Jesus is constantly sharing His truth and His love with others through us and He is shining His light of life through us for all to see! So let us keep in step with Jesus and let our light shine! All of the good in us is Christ in us and praise God for this because since the good in us is Christ in us, the good in us will never cease or fail! We have been blessed with true eternal peace in Jesus! In Jesus, we have peace with God and true inner peace so we must be at peace with others!

We are instructed in Romans 12:18 that “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. (NIV) Remember, as children of God who believe in Jesus, we have true eternal peace in our Savior Jesus who lives in us and therefore we can and must be at peace with others! Praise God for the true eternal peace you have in your Savior Jesus and enjoy being the vessel through which Jesus shares His truth and love with all those around you! You have been blessed with peace in Jesus, so be at peace! You have peace so live in it, enjoy it and share the joy of it with others! Enjoy that peace and praise God for it! You have peace, so be at peace with everyone around you! Live a peaceful life so that those who are watching you will desire the peace you have and wonder how they can have it too! Always be ready to share the truth about Jesus and how to receive eternal life in Him and eternal peace in Him! Let the peace of Christ resonate from you so that all those around you can witness it! Faithfully share the truth about Jesus and His sacrifice for us all! Let everyone know that the peace you have is only found in Jesus! Be prepared to share the gospel of Jesus with others and let everyone know that only through belief in Jesus may they receive eternal peace as well! Colossians 3:15 says “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. (NIV) You have been called to peace so embrace the eternal peace you have in Jesus, enjoy it and share it with everyone around you! Praise God for the eternal peace we have in our Savior Jesus!
