This month of August can often be accompanied by some pretty hot temperatures. Picture that it is a nice hot sunny August day and you have just added a nice cold ice cube to your water glass. In just a short amount of time that ice cube will melt completely away as though it was never there. Sometimes when we are experiencing struggles in our lives we may start to battle with fear. However, if we have accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, then we have not a single thing to fear! If Jesus is living in you as your personal Lord and Savior, then let any and all fear melt away like that ice cube on that hot day! Let fear melt completely away! You do not have anything to fear so why think and act as though you do? You get to enjoy freedom in your Savior Jesus and you are looking forward to spending eternity in Heaven with Him! This month we have been reminded that struggles are blessings in our lives through which God teaches us and strengthens us. God blesses us with struggles in our lives to shape us further into the children of God that He has created us to be. Struggles can seem very difficult when we are experiencing them but once we have been taught through them we always come out on the other side more mature in our faith and better prepared for our blessed future in Jesus!
Romans 8:28 says “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (NIV) God is in control of all things and, as we read in Romans, God always works all things out for the good of His children! God always knows exactly what each one of us needs and He will always bless us with exactly what we need in each moment of our lives according to His perfect will! As children of God, who have accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, we have our Savior Jesus living in our inner being and we have been set free from sin and death for all of eternity through Him! Jesus paid the full price for us! We do not deserve forgiveness for our sins nor do we deserve eternal life but God, who is rich in mercy, has blessed us with His perfect grace in our Savior Jesus who loves us and gave Himself for us! It is by the grace of God that we are saved! (Ephesians 2:8) As children of God, who have faith in Jesus, we no longer live but Jesus lives in us and He is our life! (Colossians 3:4) We are God’s precious dearly loved children and, in Jesus, all of our past, present and future sins have been forgiven for all of eternity and we have been reconciled to God by the blood of Jesus! Romans 8:31 says “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (NIV) Our sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2) but through your faith in Jesus and His sacrifice for you, you have been reconciled to God by the blood of Jesus who loves you and gave Himself for you! God is for you! Who, then, can be against you and succeed? No one! With Jesus living in your inner being, as your personal Lord and Savior, you have been reconciled to God by the blood of His one and only Son who loves you and gave Himself for you! Jesus gave Himself for you! It is finished, it is done! Jesus paid the full price for you and He has redeemed you for all of eternity setting you free from sin and death! Praise God for His perfect love and His perfect grace! Do not fear those who oppose you! Praise God that those around you can in fact see the love of God in you! Praise God that those around you can see your Savior Jesus in you! Remember that Jesus is the light of life (John 1:4) and He is shining from within you for all to see and He is holding out His light of eternal life to all of those around you! Jesus is constantly sharing His truth and love with others through you! Praise God for these perfect blessings and remember to live as one who has been appointed to eternal life in Jesus and let your light shine! Do not fear those who oppose you, for God is within you and He will never leave you! (Hebrews 13:5) We are weak in our flesh but Jesus is strong and He lives in our inner being! Jesus is our strength! No one will succeed against our God!
Exodus 14:14 says that “The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (NIV) Remember God is for us, Jesus is in us, and no one will succeed against our God! God is in control of all things and His will is always done! God always works all things out for the good of His children! (Romans 8:28) Praise God that we are God’s precious dearly loved children who have our personal Lord and Savior, Jesus, living in our inner being! God is always working everything out for our good! We have not a thing to fear! Fear has to do with punishment (1 John 4:18) and in Jesus all of our past, present and future sins have been forgiven for all of eternity and none of our sins will ever be counted against us! Jesus lives in our inner being, as our personal Lord and Savior, and we have escaped sin and death for all of eternity in Him! In Jesus, we have escaped punishment for our sins and therefore we have nothing to fear! Galatians 6:17 says “From now on, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus. (NIV) Jesus is within you and you need not fear a single thing or a single person! Be still in God and rest in Him! Praise God that you bear the name of Jesus and you have been set free from all fear for all of eternity!
Deuteronomy 31:6 instructs us to “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (NIV) Do not be afraid of those who oppose you and the love of God that is within you! Be strong in the Lord your God! No one can succeed against our God! No one! God is within you and He will never leave you or forsake you! (Hebrews 13:5) You are never alone, for Jesus lives in your inner being, as your personal Lord and Savior, and you are eternally Gods precious child! Be still in the Lord, trust in Him and know that He is working all things out for your good! We are weak in our flesh but Jesus is strong and He lives in us! Jesus is our strength and the Lord our God is always with us! God is in control! Do not fear those who oppose you and the God of all creation who lives in you! Remember, no one will succeed against our God! Continue to enjoy being the vessel through which God shares His truth and love with others and remember that we all need Jesus! Praise God that you have received your Savior Jesus, escaping sin and death for all of eternity in Him even when you didn’t deserve it! Remember that we all sin and we all need Jesus! Praise God that you have been redeemed from sin and death in your Savior Jesus, by the grace of God, and walk humbly with your God relying on His strength and power that is within you! Have sincere compassion for all those around you and forgive as the Lord forgave you! (Colossians 3:13) Be compassionate with those who oppose you and the love of God that is within you, do not fear them, and continue to live your life for the Lord your God! Psalm 118:6 says “The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? (NIV) The Lord your God is within you and He is your strength! Rest in God and His perfect love for you! Rest in God and His power that is within you always remembering that we are weak but God is strong and He is our strength!
John 16:33 says that “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (NIV) In our Savior Jesus we have eternal peace with God! We read in Romans 5:1 that “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. (NIV) We have eternal peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ who loves us and gave Himself for us! We will experience struggles in this life but they are all blessings in our lives! God blesses us with struggles in our lives to shape us further into the child of God that He has created us to be! God is constantly preparing us for this blessed eternal life to which He has called us in our Savior Jesus! God is preparing us for our blessed eternal future in Jesus! Jesus overcame sin and death for us! So as John 16:33 says, take heart my dear friends! Jesus has overcome the world for us and we have not a thing to fear in Him!
If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and you are still living in fear, then I implore you to open your heart to the God of all creation, who has called you here to His truth, and relinquish all your fears and insecurities to Him! God has brought you here and He is working in your heart and in your life in this very moment! God wants you to come to Him just as you are in this very moment! God knows you even better than you know yourself and He loves you perfectly with an everlasting love no matter what your past or present looks like! No one is perfect and we all sin. (Romans 3:23) Our sin separates us from God and our sin leads to death. (Isaiah 59:2, Romans 6:23) Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins and when we believe in Him we receive eternal life in Him. (John 3:16) Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins and then He rose to life again conquering sin and death for all of eternity. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) Romans 10:9 tells us that “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (NIV) When we come to understand and admit that we are sinners and if we believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins and that He rose to life again, then we can invite Jesus Christ into our hearts and our lives as our personal Lord and Savior. If you have come to understand and admit that you are a sinner and if you believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sins and that He rose to life again, then you can invite Jesus Christ into you heart and your life as your personal Lord and Savior. You can pray a prayer like this:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I know that I am a sinner and that I need Jesus to save me. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save me from my sins and that He rose to life again. God I am sorry for my sin. I invite Jesus into my heart and my life as my personal Lord and Savior. I commit my life to you.
In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
